Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.64% or 0.1050 points to trade at 6.5250 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.59% or 0.64 points to end at 40.78 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.50% or 0.63 points to 42.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 4.82% or 0.194 points to trade at 3.830 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.39% or 0.52 points to end at 37.00 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) shed 1.30% or 0.25 points to 18.98.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 86 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.20% or 1.14 to $50.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.08% or 1.06 to hit $49.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.40% or 5.05 to trade at $1262.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.0882, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 98.77.
