Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 1.17% or 0.26 points to trade at 22.41 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.96% or 0.060 points to end at 6.325 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.93% or 0.39 points to 42.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 3.94% or 1.35 points to trade at 32.88 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.45% or 0.21 points to end at 46.54 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.35% or 0.17 points to 48.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 58 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.38% or 0.78 to $55.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.52% or 0.82 to hit $53.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1258.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.0619, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8547.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.86.
