Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 3.35% or 0.430 points to trade at 13.280 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 3.24% or 0.118 points to end at 3.760 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 3.16% or 1.12 points to 36.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 2.00% or 0.53 points to trade at 26.01 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 0.71% or 0.26 points to end at 36.24 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 0.57% or 0.18 points to 31.49.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 43 and 7 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.76% or 0.48 to $63.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.17% or 0.69 to hit $59.89 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 11.30 to trade at $1327.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.2268, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8879.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 90.18.
