Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO), which rose 3.06% or 0.82 points to trade at 27.58 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.59% or 1.04 points to end at 41.22 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 2.19% or 0.66 points to 30.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 1.27% or 0.30 points to trade at 23.38 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.06% or 0.070 points to end at 6.516 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 0.69% or 0.29 points to 41.56.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 40 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.05% or 0.81 to $77.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.49% or 0.36 to hit $73.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.00 to trade at $1260.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.1746, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8882.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.84.
