Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 12.81% or 3.21 points to trade at 28.26 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 7.32% or 0.99 points to end at 14.60 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 5.01% or 0.231 points to 4.843 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 10.22% or 3.32 points to trade at 29.18 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 3.00% or 0.15 points to end at 5.01 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) shed 2.18% or 0.171 points to 7.679.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 64 and 8 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.50% or 0.38 to $76.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.69% or 0.46 to hit $67.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.70 to trade at $1232.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1369, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 96.43.
