Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.94% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 3.19% or 0.275 points to trade at 8.895 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 3.10% or 0.520 points to end at 17.270 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.02% or 0.90 points to 45.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 1.00% or 0.095 points to trade at 9.440 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.62% or 0.26 points to end at 41.84 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) shed 0.20% or 0.06 points to 30.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 49 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.17% or 0.13 to $77.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.50% or 0.36 to hit $71.00 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1321.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1957, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.8817.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.32.
