Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.93% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 3.86% or 0.192 points to trade at 5.160 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 3.59% or 1.45 points to end at 41.85 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.69% or 1.03 points to 39.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 1.73% or 1.05 points to trade at 59.55 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.61% or 0.11 points to end at 17.89 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 0.15% or 0.04 points to 26.86.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 49 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.17% or 0.10 to $57.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $51.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 8.01 to trade at $1281.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.1777, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.8930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 93.57.
