Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 6.54% or 0.2370 points to trade at 3.8630 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 4.35% or 1.11 points to end at 26.62 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 2.53% or 0.305 points to 12.365 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which added 0.03% or 0.01 points to trade at 33.81 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.17% or 0.05 points to end at 29.84 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) gained 0.20% or 0.010 points to 4.898.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 71 and 8 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.35% or 1.47 to $64.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.71% or 1.98 to hit $55.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.00 to trade at $1227.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1384, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8913.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 96.648.
