Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 3.98% or 0.154 points to trade at 4.028 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.20% or 0.150 points to end at 6.975 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.38% or 0.140 points to 10.280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 2.49% or 0.58 points to trade at 22.68 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 1.75% or 0.63 points to end at 35.28 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 1.31% or 0.22 points to 16.53.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 70 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.29% or 0.19 to $64.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.38% or 0.22 to hit $58.31 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1271.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1871, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 92.86.
