Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.59% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.44% or 1.09 points to trade at 32.82 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.18% or 1.09 points to end at 51.05 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 1.85% or 0.070 points to 3.850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.50% or 0.80 points to trade at 52.58 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 0.41% or 0.07 points to end at 17.17 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 0.38% or 0.03 points to 6.52.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 42 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.60% or 0.41 to $67.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.97% or 0.60 to hit $61.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1322.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.2044, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 91.69.
