Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 1.79% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.970 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.74% or 0.0880 points to end at 5.1520 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.70% or 0.35 points to 20.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.24% or 0.150 points to trade at 6.556 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.11% or 0.05 points to end at 4.82 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 0.91% or 0.60 points to 65.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 73 to 70 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $77.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $73.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.08% or 13.40 to trade at $1255.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1645, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 94.44.
