Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 1.70% or 0.250 points to trade at 14.920 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.45% or 0.130 points to end at 9.095 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) was up 1.39% or 0.2500 points to 18.1900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 4.04% or 1.50 points to trade at 35.60 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 0.66% or 0.12 points to end at 18.16 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 0.61% or 0.0320 points to 5.2020.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 59 and 26 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 2.92% or 2.12 to $74.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.24% or 2.13 to hit $67.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.70 to trade at $1202.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8976.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 95.03.
