Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.41% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 4.99% or 1.33 points to trade at 27.98 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.98% or 0.1140 points to end at 5.8660 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.92% or 0.39 points to 20.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 0.82% or 0.080 points to trade at 9.635 in late trade. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 0.78% or 0.34 points to end at 43.37 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 0.51% or 0.090 points to 17.455.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 83 to 59 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.82% or 0.65 to $79.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $71.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1290.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1806, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8732.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.31.
