Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 18.79% or 5.41 points to trade at 34.20 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.07% or 1.48 points to end at 72.86 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 1.30% or 0.0600 points to 4.6880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 2.75% or 0.96 points to trade at 33.95 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.05% or 0.80 points to end at 38.26 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 1.50% or 0.56 points to 36.84.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 49 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.03% or 1.57 to $78.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.67% or 1.80 to hit $69.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1201.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1589, while EUR/GBP rose 0.04% to 0.8905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.19.
