Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.47% or 2.46 points to trade at 73.36 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.25% or 0.180 points to end at 8.170 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.93% or 0.34 points to 37.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 2.65% or 0.50 points to trade at 18.38 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.56% or 0.66 points to end at 41.66 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 1.59% or 0.52 points to 32.18.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 71 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.48% or 1.08 to $74.29 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.96% or 1.34 to hit $69.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.10 to trade at $1219.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1559, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 95.17.
