Evolution Energy Minerals Ltd (ASX:EV1) has appointed Stephen Dennis has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company, effective immediately.
This appointment is in line with a share exchange agreement between the company and Marvel Gold Ltd (ASX:MVL) entered into on September 17, 2021, and which was part of the IPO and ASK listing of Evolution Energy.
As long as Marvel holds not less than 10% of Evolution’s issued share capital, it has the right to nominate a director to the Evolution Board of Directors.
EV1 has received a notice from Marvel exercising its right to nominate Stephen Dennis to the Evolution board as the Marvel director.
“Relevant experience”
Evolution’s interim non-executive chair Henk Ludik said: “Stephen brings a wealth of relevant experience to Evolution, having held substantial executive and non-executive roles in the resources industry.
"We welcome Stephen to the board and look forward to working with him as we progress towards development of the Chilalo Project and building on the recently announced key transactions with BTR New Materials Co. Ltd.”
Previous positions
Dennis has been actively involved in the mining industry for more than 30 years having held senior management positions at a number of Australian resources companies.
He was previously the chief executive officer and managing director of CBH Resources (ASX:CBH) Limited, the Australian subsidiary of Toho Zinc Co., Ltd of Japan.
Dennis is currently the non-executive chair of ASX-listed companies Rox Resources Limited and Marvel Gold Ltd.
