Evolution Energy Minerals Ltd (ASX:EV1) has tapped Brian Gordon to join the company as non-executive director, adding considerable international legal and capital markets expertise to the board.
Gordon is a partner at international law firm Squire Patton Boggs, where he has spent more than a decade advising global mining clients.
Working on major deals
His extensive experience includes working on major deals such as flotations, takeovers, fundraisings, mergers and acquisitions and de-listings on leading global mining exchanges, including the ASX, London’s AIM and Official List, as well as Canada’s TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.
Previously, Gordon served as a partner at Holman Fenwick Willan and practised law at Canadian firm Stikeman Elliott.
He is recognised as one of Singapore’s leading mining lawyers and has worked across key mining regions, including Africa and Australia.
Additionally, he founded the Singapore Mining Club, Southeast Asia's largest mining-based professional industry group.
Beyond his work with corporate mining clients, Gordon has provided high-level advisory services to national governments seeking to monetise natural resources.
Leading mining lawyer
His leadership experience is bolstered by board-level roles at law firms and mining companies.
“We are delighted to welcome Brian Gordon to the Board of Evolution Energy Minerals,” Evolution chair Robin Birchall said.
“Brian brings a wealth of experience in the global mining sector, with deep expertise in capital markets and significant international deal exposure.
“His extensive legal background, coupled with his work advising both corporate clients and governments on monetising natural resources, will be invaluable as we continue to advance our strategic objectives.
“Brian’s leadership and global perspective make him a highly valuable addition to our team.”
