European Metals Holdings said it has received a three-year extension to all four exploration licences for Cinovec, its hard rock lithium project in the Czech Republic.
Extended until 31 December 2026, these licences fully cover the areas of all three granted preliminary mining permits (PMPs).
EMH added it required the extension as the PMPs in place did not allow for further drilling until the final mining area is granted.
Before the grant of the extensions, an evaluation was carried out by the relevant state authorities of the results achieved to date in exploring the deposit.
Plans for future exploration work, including further resource drilling, and compliance with conditions set by the Czech Ministry of Environment were also assessed.
Cinovec is being developed by Geomet, a joint venture between EMH and Czech-state-owned CEZ.
