Euro Manganese Inc (ASX:EMN, TSX-V:EMN, OTCQX:EUMNF) has officially begun the commissioning process of the Chvaletice Project’s demonstration plant on-site, with substantial progress already made on installation and high demand expected for the plant’s samples.
Twelve companies including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), electric vehicle (EV) battery and cathode manufacturers and specialty alloy manufacturers have already requested demonstration and pilot plant samples from the Chvaletice Project, boding well for potential off-take deals in the company’s future.
Chvaletice’s high-purity manganese products offer a competitive advantage in traceability and access to local supply chains, increasingly important characteristics as traceability becomes a central requirement for EV manufacturers.
Commissioning marks major milestone
“With the arrival of the demonstration plant at site, the team at Chvaletice has worked hard to install the modules and connect them to utilities,” Euro Manganese president and CEO Dr Matthew James said.
“This week is a major milestone with commissioning of the first module. We eagerly look forward to delivering samples from the demonstration plant to customers so they may continue their supply chain qualification of Chvaletice’s high purity manganese products.”
The Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic is a waste-to-value recycling and remediation operation, involving reprocessing old tailings from a decommissioned mine into high-purity electrolytic manganese metal (HPEMM) and high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM) products for the electric vehicle industries.
