Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 1.89% or 0.65 points to trade at 35.04 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 1.67% or 0.068 points to end at 4.128 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 1.47% or 0.41 points to 28.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.21% or 0.0900 points to trade at 7.3250 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.65% or 0.24 points to end at 36.69 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 0.51% or 0.16 points to 31.27.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 43 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.37% or 0.18 to $48.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.58% or 0.27 to hit $46.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.02 to trade at $1233.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1473, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.96.
