Dynamic Metals Ltd (ASX:DYM) has returned high-grade gold assays from an aircore drill program at Higginsville prospect within the Widgiemooltha Project in Western Australia.
The aircore program at Widgiemooltha comprised 32 drill holes, which were planned to test gold targets at the Mandilla and Higginsville prospects.
Notably, a potential mineralised structure was identified at Higginsville with a significant bottom-of-hole assay of 1 metre at 5.6 g/t gold in HGA011, within 1 kilometre of the Higginsville Mining Operation.
Meanwhile, anomalous gold results at Dynamic’s Mandilla prospect indicate the potential for Astral Resources' Mandilla mineralisation to extend onto DYM tenure with a bottom-of-hole assay of 1 metre at 3.1 g/t in MDA011.
While Dynamic is primarily focused on nickel and lithium exploration, testing gold prospects such as these is an important part of its strategy to unlock potential value-creation opportunities within the company's extensive portfolio.
Drill summary
At Higginsville prospect, Dynamic completed 16 aircore holes across 659 metres to systemically collect bedrock geochemical information and determine if this target was of meaningful significance due to its proximity to an existing gold operation.
Several significant hits were recorded in this program including 1 metre at 5.61 g/t at 44 metres in a bottom-of-hole sample from HGA011, which was geologically logged as a quartz vein with visible sulphides.
Additionally, 4 metres at 1.59 g/t at 20 metres was intercepted in a composite sample towards the bottom of the weathering profile in HGA015.
Meanwhile, at Mandilla, the company planned an exploration program to determine whether mineralisation extended onto DYM tenure and drilled 16 holes for 804 metres in a 40 by 40-metre pattern.

About the project
Widgiemooltha Project is about 550 kilometres east of Perth and 100 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie and covers an area of about 850 square kilometres.
The project lies within a known corridor of world-class komatiitic nickel sulphide deposits and orogenic gold deposits and historic exploration activities have been centred on these two commodities.
More recently the project area has emerged as a significant lithium belt with three lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite-related mines developed in the past few years.
Dynamic’s tenure is located well within the lithium 'Goldilocks Zone' with the Mt Marion, Bald Hill and Buldania projects all within 25 kilometres and Essential Metals’ Dome North Lithium Project adjacent to the project.
