Duke Exploration Ltd (ASX:DEX) shares rose as much as ~20% intra-day to 5.5 cents after intersecting additional copper-rich structures from scout (RC – diamond tail) drilling at the Rogers prospect within its flagship Bundarra Project in Queensland.
A diamond tail drill hole successfully intersected hematite-rich zones with sulphide veining (pyrite - chalcopyrite) on an east-west striking trend, in addition to the northeast striking structures already present within the prospect.
Drilling also confirmed strong alteration with copper mineralisation (pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite) associated with the magnetic anomaly at Sunny Corner.

Duke managing director Philip Condon said: “This drilling is a further advancement in the understanding of our Bundarra project and the targets generated by Rankin (2022).
“Better understanding the Rogers area is a priority, to which we have now demonstrated there are multiple copper mineralised structures cross cutting the prospect.
“Confirmation of sulphide veining with alteration within the Sunny Corner core is also very promising for future follow up work – pending assay results.
“We anticipate an approximate six week turnaround on assays after which we can finalise a comprehensive Bundarra summary report for market release.”

The Bundarra scout drilling testing the orientation of mineralisation at Rogers, sulphidic outcrop at Poison Gully and anomalous magnetic features interpreted by Rankin (2022) at Sunny Corner has now concluded.
A total of two RC – diamond tail (495.5 metres) and two RC boreholes (310 metres) drill tested a number of targets that were produced by the combined Duke/Rankin target review.
All samples have been sent to ALS laboratories for analysis and full results will be reported when received over the two next months.
