Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.56% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.50% or 1.60 points to trade at 37.15 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.75% or 4.6 points to end at 172.0 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.96% or 5.30 points to 275.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 4.47% or 9.40 points to trade at 200.90 in late trade. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 3.01% or 3.85 points to end at 124.25 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) shed 2.57% or 1.52 points to 57.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 352 to 326 and 82 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.47% or 0.24 to $51.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.54% or 0.29 to hit $54.46 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 8.55 to trade at $1249.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.45% to 9.5715, while USD/SEK fell 0.29% to 8.9812.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.54.
