Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which rose 0.97% or 5.5 points to trade at 575.0 at the close. Meanwhile, FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 0.74% or 1.6 points to end at 218.7 and DSV (CO:DSV) was down 0.32% or 0.8 points to 251.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which fell 5.90% or 465 points to trade at 7410 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 5.27% or 405 points to end at 7285 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was down 5.26% or 3.40 points to 61.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 120 to 27 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.90% or 465 to 7410. Shares in A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) fell to 5-year lows; losing 5.27% or 405 to 7285.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.40% or 0.66 to $26.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.82% or 0.56 to hit $30.28 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 5.14% or 61.40 to trade at $1256.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.53% to 6.5746, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4643.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 95.45.
