Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 2.43% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa), which rose 0.44% or 50 points to trade at 11540 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (COP:GN) added 0.36% or 0.5 points to end at 140.9 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) was up 0.34% or 40 points to 11910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (COP:GEN), which fell 4.35% or 28.0 points to trade at 615.5 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (COP:NDA) declined 3.56% or 3.00 points to end at 81.35 and Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb) was down 3.54% or 21.0 points to 572.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 124 to 26 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.14% or 0.06 to $43.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.64% or 0.32 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.39% or 15.40 to trade at $1123.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.29% to 6.6714, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4635.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.15% at 96.12.
