Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 3.06% or 18.5 points to trade at 622.5 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) added 2.37% or 310 points to end at 13390 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 1.77% or 220 points to 12660 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which lost 6.23% or 34.5 points to trade at 519.5 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 2.67% or 18.5 points to end at 674.5 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) shed 1.04% or 3.0 points to 286.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 55 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.80% or 0.38 to $47.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.39% or 0.20 to hit $50.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.30 to trade at $1277.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.36% to 6.3606, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4372.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 93.99.
