Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Personal & Household Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 2.83% or 2.00 points to trade at 72.55 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 2.75% or 8.5 points to end at 317.2 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 2.56% or 225 points to 9005 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which lost 2.28% or 12.0 points to trade at 514.5 in late trade. Novozymes B (CO:NZYMb) declined 0.99% or 2.9 points to end at 288.8 and Genmab (CO:GEN) gained 0.94% or 7.5 points to 808.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.38% or 0.90 to $38.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.00% or 0.40 to hit $40.45 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.03% or 13.10 to trade at $1259.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.18% to 6.6855, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4587.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.15.
