Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which rose 2.94% or 11.2 points to trade at 391.8 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 1.70% or 10.5 points to end at 627.0 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was up 1.64% or 0.63 points to 38.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which lost 0.77% or 100 points to trade at 12900 in late trade. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 0.76% or 3.0 points to end at 390.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) shed 0.45% or 1.2 points to 267.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 60 to 51 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.67% or 0.80 to $48.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.43% or 0.72 to hit $50.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 3.90 to trade at $1248.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.13% to 6.3941, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4361.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.03.
