Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which rose 5.83% or 2.07 points to trade at 37.56 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) added 0.92% or 0.60 points to end at 65.60 and ISS A/S (CO:ISS) was up 0.86% or 2.30 points to 271.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which lost 0.51% or 1.3 points to trade at 252.5 in late trade. Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) declined 0.23% or 0.7 points to end at 304.6 and Genmab (CO:GEN) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 1080.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 54 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.35% or 0.59 to $44.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.12% or 0.97 to hit $46.82 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.55 to trade at $1319.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.10% to 6.6250, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4457.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.36.
