Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Personal & Household Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 7.87% or 20.6 points to trade at 282.5 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 3.46% or 22.5 points to end at 672.0 and Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) was up 1.00% or 3.10 points to 312.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which lost 4.87% or 18.7 points to trade at 365.0 in late trade. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 4.00% or 15.8 points to end at 379.2 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) shed 2.05% or 14.5 points to 693.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 38 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.39% or 0.19 to $49.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.59% or 0.31 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.18% or 14.92 to trade at $1277.52 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.08% to 6.3361, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4394.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.53.
