Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 7.99% or 27.5 points to trade at 371.8 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 4.17% or 16.9 points to end at 422.3 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 3.21% or 9.4 points to 304.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which lost 4.28% or 13.7 points to trade at 306.6 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 3.61% or 26.8 points to end at 715.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) shed 3.07% or 9.2 points to 290.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 25 and 11 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.81% or 1.78 to $61.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.18% or 1.46 to hit $65.40 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.70 to trade at $1320.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.92% to 6.0686, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4433.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 90.18.
