Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED), which rose 2.56% or 10.90 points to trade at 436.50 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) added 1.93% or 11.8 points to end at 621.8 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 1.91% or 11.2 points to 598.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which lost 3.44% or 11.9 points to trade at 333.8 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 2.95% or 282 points to end at 9292 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) shed 2.03% or 5.3 points to 256.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 52 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.32% or 0.17 to $53.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.68% or 0.42 to hit $62.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1243.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.25% to 6.5892, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4631.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.005.
