Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 1.20% or 112 points to trade at 9424 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 0.73% or 65 points to end at 8910 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 0.45% or 2.0 points to 445.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which lost 2.21% or 7.6 points to trade at 336.6 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 1.20% or 8.6 points to end at 708.6 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) shed 1.00% or 2.2 points to 218.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 59 to 57 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.25% or 1.43 to $64.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.46% or 1.66 to hit $69.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.70 to trade at $1322.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.21% to 6.0723, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4495.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 89.74.
