Carnavale Resources Ltd (ASX:CAV) has welcomed results from its latest aircore drilling program at the Kookynie Gold Project in Western Australia, successfully targeting geochemical and structural gold targets.
The company completed 72 drill holes over 4,192 metres, identifying a new gold zone, Valiant, over a 250-metre strike (that remains open for further exploration) and extending the Tiptoe prospect a further 200 metres to the north-northwest.
More exploration to come
“This aircore exploration program has successfully extended the mineralisation envelope from the new zone Valiant, south of McTavish East, to the northwest of Tiptoe providing further targets for reverse circulation (RC) drilling and the potential to increase overall resources at Kookynie,” Carnavale Resources CEO Humphrey Hale said.
“Numerous first-class anomalies remain to be tested at Kookynie, which will be followed up in further programs.
“We look forward to presenting the maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) and associated mining evaluation for Swiftsure and McTavish East shortly.”
CAV expects to produce a mining study and maiden MRE for the Swiftsure and McTavish East prospects in June this year.
