C29 Metals Ltd (ASX:C29) is preparing to kick off the new year with drilling at the Pocitos 7 exploration licence in Salta province of Argentina, in the heart of South America’s renowned Lithium Triangle.
Preparations for this drilling are advancing well with earthworks and construction of the drill pads underway.
The drill rig that has been contracted for the Pocitos 7 work is completing work nearby and all associated infrastructure including camp, drill supplies and other logistics is in place.
Following a relatively short break for the Christmas/New Year period, C29 expects that drilling will begin during January 2023.

Lithium-charged brines
Previous geophysical work identified a large aquifer at Pocitos 7 hosting target lithium-charged brines.
C29 intends to drill two holes during the upcoming program to test this target and establish the presence of brines and the aquifer profile.
The company expects that these holes can provide data which will form the basis of an initial mineral resource estimate.
With the project sitting in an established lithium-producing region, significant logistical infrastructure is already in place, including power, gas transmission and all-weather roads allowing transport of refined lithium carbonate through a major port.
The Lithium Triangle is estimated to contain 75% of the world’s lithium supply and is the world’s premier lithium exploration address.
