C29 Metals Ltd (ASX:C29) is delving deeper into the Sampsons Tank copper exploration project in NSW with an induced polarisation (IP) survey following up from a versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) survey.
Using gravity and soil anomalies as indicators of prospectivity, C29 intends to leverage the IP survey to refine future drilling programs across two large targets.
IP surveys provide chargeability and resistivity data which highlight areas of potential sulphide mineralisation and quartz vein/silicic alteration intensity, respectively.
C29 cites both of these data sets as key factors when considering mineralisation potential and drill hole orientation and depth.
Methodical, modern exploration
“Sampsons Tank contains prospects which are emerging as excellent targets,” C29 Metals executive director Jeremy King said.
“Methodical, modern exploration methods have delineated coincident anomalies in a region which benefits from significant mineral endowment.
“We expect this IP survey will confirm the prospectivity of these targets, and we look forward to the results and interpretation.”
C29’s IP survey will be conducted by Australian Geophysical Services over 39.5 line kilometres of 100-metre-spaced with dipole-dipole induced polarisation across the two previously identified targets.

The company expects the IP survey will take about three weeks to complete and another week to process and present the acquired data.
