Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has drilling underway in its Phase Two development drilling program at the high-impact Wolf Pack 36-25-1S-4W SXH 2 Well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) of Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin.

The Wolf Pack Well has been spudded by Latshaw Rig 12 after the successful completion of rig-up and equipment testing.

This well is now drilling ahead in the vertical section of the wellbore toward the first casing point.

“Important” Phase Two program

Brookside’s managing director David Prentice said: “It is very pleasing to see the commencement of our important Phase Two development drilling program in SWISH.

“We are delighted to be working with the Latshaw team once again and look forward to bringing news of operations from our Wolf Pack Well to our shareholders over the coming weeks as we move forward with drilling and to completion and ultimately turn the well to sales.”

Drilling ahead

Operations at the well site to date have included laying out the drill-string, making up the BHA (bottom hole assembly) and pre-spud inspection.

Brookside and its US manager of operations Black Mesa Energy, LLC will continue to drill to the first casing point, trip out of hole, set surface casing and cement.

The company says that operations are proceeding on schedule, safely and without incident.

Focused on exploitation not exploration, Brookside’s aim is to generate shareholder value through a disciplined portfolio approach to the acquisition and development of oil and gas assets and the leasing and development of acreage opportunities.
