Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK, OTC:RDFEF) has prepared the Sanford drill pad at the multi-well Flames-Maroons Development Plan (FMDP) in the core of the southern SCOOP Play in Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin.
With the pad now drill-ready the company is awaiting the arrival of Kenai Rig 19 which is expected to mobilise within 10 days for drilling of three wells.
Conductor holes for each of the Fleury, Maroons and Iginla wells have been drilled and cased while housing and equipment trailers have begun arriving on site in preparation for drilling operations.
Power has been connected to the pad eliminating the need to rent power generators thus saving on rental and operating costs.
The Sanford Pad and the four FMDP wells - Fleury, Maroons and Iginla (to be drilled from the Sanford Pad) and Rocket (to be drilled from the Flames Well pad). Also shown are Continental Resources Courbet Wells full field development showing the strong performance of both the Woodford wells (well names ending with HXW) and Sycamore wells (names ending in HXM).
Iginia Well first
Brookside said drilling operations for the FMDP would begin with drilling and cementing of the surface casing for the Iginla Well, following which the rig will be skidded to the Maroons Well to repeat the operation and then on to the Fleury Well.
Once surface holes have been drilled, cased and cemented for each of the wells, the drill rig will move back to the Iginla well to drill, case and cement the intermediate and lateral sections. This will then be repeated for the Maroons and Fleury Wells.
Following these operations, the rig will be rigged down and moved to the existing Flames Well location to commence operations to drill the fourth and final well in the program, the Rocket Well.
Brookside said drilling the wells in this manner would allow for more efficient and cost-effective operations.
