Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK, OTC:RDFEF) is drilling ahead in the lateral section of the Iginla Well at a measured depth of ~16,500 feet as part of the multi-well Flames-Maroons Development Plan (FMDP) in Oklahoma.

Iginia is the first well to be drilled in the FMDP, which is at the core of the southern SCOOP Play in the prolific Anadarko Basin and Brookside said drilling was continuing safely, on budget and on time.

After completing the lateral, or horizontal, section, Iginia Well will be cased with the casing cemented in place after which the rig will be walked back to the Maroons Well, the second in the FMDP, to drill the intermediate section.

Location of the Sanford Pad and the four FMDP wells. Also shown are Continental Resources Courbet Wells full field development showing the strong performance of both the Woodford wells (well names end with HXW) and Sycamore wells (names end in HXM).

About the wells

The FMDP is a multi-well drilling program targeting the highly productive Sycamore and Woodford formations in the southern Anadarko Basin.

Of the four wells in the program, three are being drilled from the Sanford Pad - the Fleury, Maroons and Iginla Wells.

Once these wells have been drilled and cased, the drill rig will move to the Flames Well pad to drill the fourth well, the Rocket Well.

The four-well program is utilising Kenai Drilling’s Kenai 19 rig.
