Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has completed construction of the drilling pad at the Juanita Well site in its expanded Bradbury Area of Interest (AOI) within the Arbuckle Uplift–Ardmore Basin in Oklahoma.
The company is optimistic that the new AOI will prove as productive as its work in the SWISH AOI, also within Oklahoma’s Anadarko Basin, in which three production wells have been drilled – Jewell, Rangers and Flames.
Bradbury AOI in Murray County is east-northeast of the company’s highly successful SWISH AOI.
Conductor hole cased
With pad construction complete, the 70-foot conductor hole has been drilled and cased with 20-inch steel pipe that has been cemented in place.

Executive GM Commercial Gracjan Lambert said: “The team is excited to be getting operations underway in this new area of interest.
“The opportunity to use our knowledge of this area to prospect for and ultimately develop by-passed or overlooked productive reservoirs using low-cost vertical drilling adds another great string to our bow.
“We are looking forward to updating the market next week as the drill bit gets turning and later as we run logs and get the opportunity to see what potential the 10 or so target zones have to offer.”
Rig expected next week
Preparations and planning are underway to move housing trailers onto location and set up in anticipation of the arrival of the drill rig, drill crew and support staff in the week commencing October 17.
