Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has successfully completed the multi-stage hydraulic stimulation at the high-impact Wolf Pack 36-25-1S-4W SXH 2 Well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) of Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin.

All stages of the stimulation have been completed and the reservoir successfully stimulated in accordance with Brookside’s post drill completion design.

Demobilisation of the stimulation crew and equipment has started and the team is now focused on the next stage of operations, beginning with milling out of the isolation plugs.

“A great effort”

Brookside executive GM Gracjan Lambert said: “With every well we get better and faster. Ultimately, the quicker we drill, complete and turn the wells to sales, the quicker we generate returns for our shareholders.

"With the first of our 20-plus Phase 2 development wells we are doing just that, capitalising on the learnings from our three HBP wells, identifying efficiencies to our operations and applying them here.

“This is a great effort by the team in Oklahoma and a great way to kick off 2023. This should be an exciting year for Brookside and our shareholders.”

About Wolf Pack

Wolf Pack, which is part of the company’s Phase Two development drilling program, was drilled as a mid-length horizontal well targeting the Sycamore Formation at an average depth of around 9,750 feet.

It was drilled to a total measured depth of about 17,260 feet, with around 7,500 feet of lateral section drilled in the Sycamore that was cased with production tubing to be perforated and treated to allow production of oil and rich gas.

The location of the Wolf Pack Well and Brookside’s four operated SWISH AOI DSUs.

The well is operated by Black Mesa Energy, LLC, a controlled subsidiary of Brookside, and was drilled by Latshaw Rig 12 in Stephens County, Oklahoma.

Preparing for flowback

With the multi-stage stimulation completed, Brookside and Black Mesa will continue with demobilisation of the stimulation crew and equipment while preparing for milling out the isolation plugs.

Once the isolation plugs have been milled out, operations will get underway to circulate drilling fluids and clean up the well prior to flowback.
