Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food Producers, Beverage and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.02% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Elia (BR:ELI), which rose 2.34% or 1.015 points to trade at 44.425 at the close. Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) added 1.50% or 1.75 points to end at 118.10 and Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) was up 1.17% or 0.53 points to 45.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which fell 3.69% or 0.27 points to trade at 7.00 at the close. Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) declined 2.38% or 3.40 points to end at 139.50 and DIeteren SA (BR:IETB) was down 1.52% or 0.470 points to 30.520.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 85 to 65 and 3 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.20% or 2.20 to $1075.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $41.75 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.40 to trade at $44.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.79% to 1.0650, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.7010.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 99.65.
