Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which rose 1.10% or 0.52 points to trade at 47.78 at the close. Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) added 0.89% or 1.00 points to end at 113.00 and Sofina (BR:SOF) was up 0.69% or 1.20 points to 174.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which lost 1.62% or 0.22 points to trade at 13.39 in late trade. Ageas (BR:AGES) declined 0.67% or 0.300 points to end at 44.490 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) shed 0.53% or 0.480 points to 89.260.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 54 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.25% or 3.00 to $1211.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.69 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.05% or 0.80 to trade at $77.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1700, while EUR/GBP fell 1.00% to 0.8995.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 94.54.
