Investing.com – Belgium equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB), which rose 2.41% or 3.45 points to trade at 146.80 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 1.44% or 1.230 points to end at 86.610 and Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) was up 0.80% or 1.00 points to 126.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which lost 2.17% or 0.64 points to trade at 28.58 in late trade. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) declined 0.89% or 0.13 points to end at 14.48 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) shed 0.76% or 0.34 points to 45.08.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.61 to $1329.61 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.70% or 0.84 to hit $50.14 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.54 to trade at $55.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1879, while EUR/GBP fell 1.41% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 92.33.
