Atlantic Lithium Ltd (AIM:ALL, OTCQX:ALLIF, ASX:A11) has appointed mining industry veteran Jonathan Henry as an independent non-executive director to replace Len Kolff, who will now focus on his non-board work as chief geologist.
Henry is a senior executive with significant, global listed company experience, primarily in the mining industry, having held various leadership and board roles for nearly two decades, said Atlantic Lithium.
Currently non-exec chair of Giyani Metals, a manganese oxide project developer in Botswana, he was chief executive and managing director of London-listed Avocet Mining (AIM:AVM) among many previous roles.
Henry’s focus will be to maintain corporate governance in the interests of all shareholders.
Kolff will step down from the board and focus on his roles as head of business development and chief geologist when Henry joins, said Atlantic.
Neil Herbert, Atlantic Lithium’s executive chairman, added: "Jonathan is a highly regarded mining executive with excellent credentials and directly relevant experience of working in Africa.
"As we approach construction at the Ewoyaa Lithium Project, his learnings from his career to date, particularly from bringing projects he has worked on through to production, will be invaluable to the company.”
