Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which rose 2.46% or 3.8 points to trade at 158.3 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 1.49% or 8.6 points to end at 583.9 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 1.10% or 26 points to 2385 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which lost 1.43% or 23 points to trade at 1587 in late trade. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 1.20% or 300 points to end at 24600 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TA:BIG) shed 1.16% or 290 points to 24640.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 208 to 203 and 10 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.11% or 0.51 to $46.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.86% or 0.42 to hit $49.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.50% or 18.69 to trade at $1223.61 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.50% to 3.5056, while EUR/ILS fell 0.02% to 3.9844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.91.
