archTIS Ltd has been awarded a $528,000 contract to develop a demonstrator product for the secure sharing and collaboration of data for Australia’s largest defence and security company, BAE Systems (LON:BAES) Maritime Australia (BAESMA).
Under the contract, archTIS will showcase a platform that enforces data-centric security policies across multiple data sets and which provides access on a need-to-know basis to key BAESMA stakeholders, suppliers and customers.
The product demonstrator will utilise archTIS software and is expected to be delivered by the end of this year.

“This is our first opportunity to work and demonstrate our capabilities with Australia’s largest defence prime, BAE Systems Australia,” archTIS managing director Daniel Lai said.
“I am pleased that our unique value proposition, secure sharing and collaboration of data has been recognised by BAE Systems Australia in trusting us with this deliverable.
“Securely sharing and collaborating on sensitive information is one of the major challenges that Industry 4.0 needs to resolve to unlock the benefits that digital technologies can bring to the manufacturing industry, especially in the defence industry.”
Protecting national security
BAESMA's mission is to revolutionise Australia's shipbuilding industry by fostering a world-class, continuous naval shipbuilding capability.
This entails the digital transformation of Australia's defence shipbuilding process into an Industry 4.0 capability, a term referring to the digitalisation of manufacturing industry technologies and processes.
Towards that end, archTIS’s product demonstrator plays a part in supporting this goal.
