Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX:AZY) has received positive final results from the 2024 Phase 1 reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia.

The Phase 1 drilling program, initially scheduled for 74 drill holes, was expanded to 81 RC drill holes due to positive early results.

Drilling revealed new zones of near-surface, high-grade gold, particularly along the northern edge of the GEO-01 discovery, the GP01 target and the Minyari Southeastern Extension target.

Highlights

Final assay results for 62 holes, across 9,312 metres, identified new zones of near-surface gold mineralisation across Minyari Dome.

High-grade intersections include:

  • 35 metres at 3.0 g/t gold from 20 metres down hole, featuring 16 metres at 5.6 g/t and 1 metre at 24.0 g/t;
  • 10 metres at 3.6 g/t from 140 metres, including 4 metres at 8.9 g/t; and
  • 49 metres at 1.5 g/t from 2 metres, featuring 12 metres at 4.9 g/t gold.

Two RC drill holes at GP01 returned significant high-grade gold:

  • 8 metres at 5.3 g/t gold and 0.07% copper from 96 metres down hole; including 16 metres at 1.1 g/t gold from 108 metres.

The Minyari Southeast Extension target also revealed new mineralisation, including 51 metres at 0.5 g/t gold from 16 metres down hole, including 8 metres at 1.6 g/t.

The GEO-01 discovery, 1.3 kilometres south of the Minyari gold-copper deposit, now has a mineralised footprint of 700 metres by 500 metres. Key intersections from the GEO-01 discovery include:

  • 35 metres at 3.0 g/t gold from 20 metres down hole;
  • 10 metres at 3.6 g/t from 140 metres; and
  • 49 metres at 1.5 g/t from 2 metres.

Results indicate extensive potential for a maiden resource, with mineralisation at multiple GEO-01 lodes and the Minyari Southeast Extension target remaining open in most directions.

The 2024 Phase 2 drilling program will further explore these promising areas with the purpose of enhancing the 1.8-million-ounce gold resource at Minyari Dome, positioning Antipa for significant resource expansion and development opportunities.

Fantastic outcomes

Antipa managing director Roger Mason said: “We are delighted to report these final assay results from our 2024 Phase 1 RC drilling program at Minyari Dome.

“The decision to expand the initial size and scope of drilling has delivered some fantastic outcomes with thick, near-surface high-grade gold mineralisation discovered at multiple target areas.

“Importantly, the drilling program successfully identified new gold zones along the northern edge of GEO-01, at the GP01 target and at the Minyari Southeastern Extension target.

“This serves to meaningfully increase the resource potential at the existing Minyari deposit and adds to the already substantial opportunity at GEO-01.

“Results from the program also facilitate refinement of our geological model and enable generation of multiple new drill target locations.

“In parallel, we are advancing workstreams designed to deliver a GEO-1 maiden resource and an update to the existing Minyari resource, both scheduled for July 2024, while we prepare for the upcoming CY2024 Phase 2 drilling program set to commence later this year.”
