Antipa Minerals Ltd (ASX:AZY) is set to kick off phase two of its 2023 drill campaign at the wholly-owned Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia's Paterson Province.

This large-scale program will include up to 19,200 metres of new reverse circulation (RC), diamond core and aircore drilling, targeting existing gold-copper resources and new greenfield discoveries.

The company is taking a meticulous approach to drilling and training its focus on high-potential areas to strengthen its portfolio.

"Discovery opportunity"

Managing director Roger Mason said: “We are delighted to have our boots on the ground with drill rigs beginning to turn once again at Minyari.

“Phase two 2023 exploration is geared towards resource growth and greenfield discoveries, with drilling at GEO-01, Tetris and Pacman targeting rapid, sizeable success.

“With up to 19,200 metres of RC, diamond core and aircore drilling planned, there is a fantastic opportunity for discovery as we test these high-potential targets through the coming months.”

The project places a special focus on the recently discovered GEO-01 large gold-copper prospect, a mere 1.3 kilometres south of the Minyari deposit.

GEO-01 has already shown significant high-grade gold mineralisation in phase one drilling earlier this year. Diamond core drilling at GEO-01 has also kicked off, supported by a West Australian Government EIS grant.

High-priority targets and funding

Along with GEO-01, two high-priority, large-scale greenfield targets, Tetris and Pacman, will also be drill-tested.

Tetris, 35 kilometres northeast of Minyari, and Pacman, around 30 kilometres to the east, have geophysical signatures similar to existing significant deposits in the region.

Both are supported by West Australian Government grants of A$220,000 each.

The expanded program has also been made possible through recent capital-raising activities, including a placement and an announced rights Issue.

The 2023 Minyari Dome exploration program will be subject to regular review, considering results, field conditions, contractor availability and pricing among other factors.
