Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has finalised the location for its proposed processing plant at the Green River Lithium Project, situated within the Paradox Basin, in Utah, USA.
The announcement comes on the heels of a successful geotechnical engineering study, which has returned positive construction recommendations for the planned DLE extraction plant site.
The site confirmation marks a significant milestone in Anson's development plans and adds credence to the project's long-term potential.
Anson plans to develop the Green River Project in parallel with its lead asset, the nearby Paradox Lithium Project.

Geotechnical engineering study
Anson completed a comprehensive geotechnical engineering study to assess the suitability of the location.
Subsurface conditions at the proposed site have been assessed as suitable for the construction of foundations for the processing plant.
The study comprised nine core holes and five trenches, with additional geophysical surveys carried out to assess the dynamic properties of the subsurface materials.
The study outcomes will provide geotechnical data and subsurface conditions for general construction recommendations.
Independent engineering and geological consultants conducted the analysis, further bolstering the credibility of the findings.

Results
According to the results, the chosen site meets the required conditions for construction, including the foundations of the processing plant.
Notably, the majority of the site is underlain by alluvial deposits layered over gravels and cobbles.
Furthermore, the absence of groundwater is not expected to impede the proposed construction activities.
New driling program
Earlier this week, Anson started preparing for a new drilling program at Green River, as it shifts into high gear to prove up a JORC-compliant mineral resource for the newly-acquired land.
This new program is the second phase of the company’s resource definition strategy at Green River, on top of its plan to sample a historical oil well to test the project’s supersaturated brines announced last week.
Anson is targeting to drill to a total vertical depth of 10,800 feet under the new mineral resource drilling program.

About Green River
Anson has staked the Green River Lithium Project in January 2023, expanding its lithium asset portfolio.
Located 50 kilometres northwest of Anson's flagship Paradox Lithium Project, the new site covers 106.2 square kilometres and includes 1,251 placer claims and exhibits positive geological, metallurgical and structural similarities with the Paradox Project.
The Green River Project has major infrastructure in place, including proximity to major road and rail networks, power and water.
Anson plans to adopt a similar exploration strategy at the Green River Project as it successfully adopted at the Paradox Project by re-enter existing oil wells to define lithium brine resources, which would contribute significant additional resources to Anson’s global Paradox mineral resource base.
